Legal · Draft for review

Terms of Service

The rules that govern use of the Populus employment network by jobseekers, employers and visitors.

This document is a starting draft prepared for the Populus platform. It requires review by qualified legal counsel in each jurisdiction before public launch. It is not legal advice and does not by itself establish compliance with any law.

Last drafted: 26 October 2026

Using Populus

Populus is free to use for jobseekers and employers. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you publish and for keeping your account credentials secure.

Accounts may be suspended where they post fraudulent vacancies, misrepresent an organisation, harass other users, or attempt to access data they are not authorised to see.

Employer obligations

Employers must publish genuine vacancies for real roles, must be authorised to recruit on behalf of the organisation named, and must comply with employment law applicable where the role is performed.

Vacancies must not discriminate on protected characteristics, request payment from candidates, or misrepresent remuneration.

Jobseeker obligations

Jobseekers must provide truthful professional information and must not submit applications on behalf of another person.

Content and moderation

Populus reviews vacancies before publication and may reject, pause, close or remove any listing that breaches these terms. Decisions and reasons are recorded.

Liability

Populus is a marketplace. It is not the employer, does not guarantee hiring outcomes, and is not a party to any employment relationship formed through the platform.

Liability terms must be finalised by counsel for each operating jurisdiction before launch.
